PlayStation State of Play Wrap-up

If you were up early enough this morning, you might have caught PlayStation’s latest State of Play showcase stream online, outlining some third-party titles coming up for PS5 and PS4. Here’s the skinny on what got announced:

  • Deathverse: Let it Die – A multiplayer survival game built around a reality game show.

  •  We are OFK – A five-episode music biopic series, from the co-designer of Hyper Light Drifter and Indiepop band OFK.

  •  Bugsnax: The Isle of BIGsnax – A free update to Bugsnax coming in early 2022 with a new island, bigger Bugsnax, a living space and a dressing-up mechanic

  •   Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach  – the latest Five Nights at Freddy’s game coming 16 December this year.

  •  Death’s Door – The acclaimed adventure that we reviewed rather positively is coming to PlayStation

  •  KartRider: Drift – a kart racing game running on Unreal Engine 4 for PS4. Beta launches in December

  • King of Fighters XV – SNK’s premier fighting game showed off a new fighter and announced an open beta test coming next month

  • First Class Trouble – A social deception game coming to PlayStation Plus next month

  • Star Ocean: The Divine Force  – The latest instalment of this long-running sci-fi RPG series, now celebrating its 25th anniversary, coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2022.

  • Little Devil Inside  – A cute-looking action-adventure game that shows its world map like a kind of miniature
