PlayStation State of Play is Returning on Friday

February 24, 2021

The last few couple of months have been relatively quiet on the gaming news front, other than plenty of delays. With a new generation starting and a pandemic slowing down development, we’ve hit an inevitable slow period. It seems like we might be starting to come out of it now, with the announcement of a new PlayStation State of Play happening on Friday.

The announcement came via the PlayStation Blog, which also had some details on what to expect. We’ll get roughly 30 minutes of action, with announcements and updates on 10 games coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Updates should be expected for some third party and indie games announced during June’s PS5 Showcase. Given Kena: Bridge of Spirits is expected to release next month, we expect we will see that there, along with more of Resident Evil Village and Returnal. We should also hear from some smaller titles like Little Devil Inside and Solar Ash. New announcements may be largely limited to third party and indie titles, but we may finally get the reveal of the long-rumoured Silent Hill game in development at Japan Studio.

If you want to get in on the PlayStation State of Play action, tune in to the official PlayStation YouTube channel at 9AM AEDT on Friday.
