PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS Xbox One Full Release Coming In Two Weeks

August 22, 2018

After what was a rocky launch technically back in December of 2017, Microsoft have revealed that PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is reaching 1.0 in a matter of weeks for Xbox One. Releasing on September 4th, 1.0 will come with a bunch of content that is brand new to the non-test server console version of the game.

Sanhok, BATTLEGROUNDS smaller and more action-oriented map, will release alongside the full 1.0 release, giving players who haven’t jumped into the test server over the past couple of months the chance to try and somewhat different style of BATTLEGROUNDS. War Mode is also coming, bringing a death match styled experience to the game, where five 10-person teams battle it out to reach a point ceiling first. Achievements will also carry over from the Game Preview version of the game.

Alongside these new modes, micro-transactions will be introduced into the Xbox version of the game. Similarly to the existing transactions on the PC version, players will be able to utilise real currency to purchase cosmetics and Event Passes. You can also get your hands on a new BATTLEGROUNDS themed Xbox One controller to accompany you towards your chicken dinners.

PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS 1.0 releases as an Xbox One console launch exclusive on September 4th, so stay tuned in September for our review of the full game.
