Play Rocket League for Free This Weekend

May 5, 2017

Psyonix is allowing players to try out Rocket League for free on Steam this weekend if you’re not one of the 30,000,000 that has done so already. Head to the official Steam Rocket League page to download and play Rocket League now!

The game itself, as well as several DLC packs are currently discounted on Steam for the duration of the free weekend.

Rocket League is a soccer-style game where you use vehicles to guide the ball around the arena in online 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and the chaotic 4v4 mode.

The game’s most recent DLC coincided with the launch of movie blockbuster Fate of the Furious (The Fast & The Furious 8) featuring Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The DLC included the infamous Dodge Ice Charger, used in the movie to jump a submarine.

Rocket League launched on Windows PC in 2015, and following its wild success had console launches on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2016. There are unconfirmed rumours of a Nintendo Switch version coming later this year, with Psyonix saying they are considering their options.
