Physical Halo Wars 2 PC Release Confirmed

While Microsoft had confirmed that Halo Wars 2 would be coming to PC, the game was only confirmed for a digital release through the Windows 10 Store. It has now been announced that THQ Nordic will be teaming up with Microsoft to publish a physical version of the game for retail stores. This isn’t the first time the two have teamed up, with THQ Nordic previously publishing physical PC copies of Ori and the Blind Forest and Quantum Break.

Both the regular version of Halo Wars 2 and the Ultimate Edition will be coming to stores, with both versions giving full access to the Play Anywhere program, meaning you will get access to both the PC and Xbox One copies of the game. In the Ultimate Edition you will also receive 4 days early access, the season pass and Halo Wars: Definitive Edition.

Halo Wars 2 releases on February 21 for PC and Xbox One, while the Ultimate Edition releases on February 17.
