Outriders ‘Journey Into The Unknown’ Narrative Trailer Released

July 20, 2020

At this point, we’ve seen a good chunk of People Can Fly’s upcoming co-op RPG shooter Outriders. The game looks to follow in a similar vein of other co-op shooters such as Destiny, bringing players together to take on missions while collecting loot and progressing through the narrative. Up until now, however, while we had seen a decent chunk of gameplay footage, we didn’t really have many details on the game’s narrative. That’s changed with the release of Outriders’ Journey Into The Unknown narrative trailer.

The Outriders’ narrative trailer gives us some details on what to expect when we jump into the game, but still doesn’t give too much away. Humanity is engaged in constant war and battle, too busy wiping each other out to see the encroaching threat presented by another faction. The story seems to have you largely combating this other threat, mentioned simply as The Signal during the trailer, but it definitely seems like you’ll be taking on human enemies as well at points. We get glimpses of what are clearly more Sci-Fi landscapes and environments, as well as what clearly looks to be ‘space magic’. There still seems to be plenty of mystery left to exactly what is occurring in Outriders, but check out the narrative trailer below to see for yourself.

Outriders releases for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X this holiday, while more details on the game can be found at the official Facebook page.
