Ooblets Coming To PC And Xbox One

February 23, 2017

In recent years Double Fine have expanded their business model from pure development to also include publishing. They’ve so far had a knack for finding games that seem to look and feel like something you could see Double Fine themselves developing and their latest pick Ooblets is no exception.

Ooblets is being by the super-small and super-enthustiac duo of Nonplayercat and and Perplap, which some additional designs being provided the super-talented Danette Beatty.

Ooblets is gunning for your Nintendo-filled childhood, with a cross section of gameplay elements from Pokemon, Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing. You run your own farm, but instead of just boring vegetables and fruits, you’re able to grow your very own Ooblets – little monsters you can collect and battle.

Along with the Ooblets themselves, the game also features an interesting cartoony art-style, some great animation and some of the best dance moves I’ve seen in gaming since Commander Sheppard got his groove on.

No specific release date or has been confirmed beyond a vague ‘2018’, but we’ll be keeping a keen eye out for updates and suggest that you do the same.
