In what can best be described as a brief trailer, Hello Games have revealed the release date for the next major No Man’s Sky update, Beyond.
The update will launch on August 14. When it was announced in March, Hello Games Co-Founder Sean Murray described it as “three major updates rolled into one larger free release”. Two of those updates, revamped online multiplayer and VR support, are already known, but the third has yet to be revealed, and the launch date trailer doesn’t exactly elaborate on what it may be.
No Man’s Sky has turned around significantly since its rocky launch in 2016, with major updates in 2017 and 2018 dramatically improving the game. It is currently available for PC, Playstation 4 and XBox One.
