The last few months have been exceptionally quiet as far as Nintendo news goes. While we would generally get a Nintendo Direct every three or so months, we’ve had nothing from Nintendo proper since the Nintendo Direct Mini in May, with the last full Nintendo Direct being almost a full year ago. Finally, we’re starting to see some more movement, with the first ever Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase last month and an Indie World showcase happening tonight.
Announced via Nintendo’s official Twitter channels, tonight’s Indie World showcase marks the first Indie focused direct we’ve had since March. We don’t have any confirmation or teases on what games to expect at the show, these showcases generally cover a wide range of Indie games, with a couple of particularly big indie games showing up as well. What we do know is that show will run for roughly 20 minutes, which is more than enough time to get plenty of games in.
If you feel like watching tonight’s Indie World showcase live you’ll need to get up at 2AM AEST on Wednesday the 19th of August and tune in to Nintendo’s official Youtube stream here. Don’t feel like getting up in the middle of the night? Stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw for all of the exciting news out of the show.
