Nintendo E3 2021 Direct & Treehouse Stream Announced

June 3, 2021

It really is starting to feel like that time of year. After the confirmations that Ubisoft, Koch Media and Xbox would have press conferences during E3 2021, Nintendo have now jumped onto the train. Following their general E3 formula, albeit more condensed, they’ll be holding a Nintendo Direct and a shortened Treehouse Live stream afterwards.

Nintendo didn’t many details are confirmed for either the E3 2021 Direct or Treehouse Live stream, but we did get a couple of tidbits. The Direct is slated to run for roughly 40 minutes, making it one of the longer Directs we’ve seen. With Nintendo only having a couple of upcoming games with confirmed release dates, we expect there will be plenty of announcements there.

They also confirmed that the show will mainly focus on software releasing in 2021 and won’t include hardware announcements. So don’t expect the rumoured Nintendo Switch Pro to show up there, although this doesn’t rule out an announcement prior to the show. It was also confirmed that the Treehouse Live stream will run for roughly 3 hours and will focus on showing gameplay of games.

If you feel like watching the Nintendo E3 2021 Nintendo Direct and Treehouse streams live, make sure to get up at 2AM AEST on Wednesday June 16 and tune in to their official YouTube channel.
