Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase Announced For Tonight

July 20, 2020

What’s that? You’ve been waiting for a Nintendo Direct for months? Well we’ve got some news for you! Nintendo of America have just announced that they’ll be holding the first in a brand new form of Nintendo Directs tonight: A Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase. How is a Partner Showcase different to a regular Nintendo Direct or Nintendo Direct Mini? Read on to find out.

Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcases will focus in purely on games developed by partner studios. So don’t expect anything first party here. Instead, the series will show us glimpses of third party games coming to Nintendo Switch from other developers. Tonight’s show goes a little more off-script as well, with it focusing purely on already announced games. Of course, this means there won’t be any new games announced during the show’s 10 minute run time, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be interesting.

While we have no idea what will be shown, we expect a number of smaller indie games to pop up, as well as an update on the Switch port of DOOM Eternal. If you want to watch for yourself, tune in at Midnight AEST tonight at Nintendo’s official Youtube channel. Otherwise, stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw for all the news!
