Nier: Automata Shipping & Digital Sales Over 1 Million

Nier: Automata was released to critical acclaim, not the least of which came from our very own Jarrod in his review, but an announcement from Square Enix Ltd. today has confirmed the game has been a hit with audiences as well.

Nier: Automata’s total worldwide shipment and digital sales have now reached over 1 million, an extremely impressive figure given the original title was considered more a cult classic, and failed to attain that number over its entire lifespan.

In addition, Square-Enix has also opened pre-orders for the 3CD original soundtrack on its online store.

On a personal note, I’ve found it impossible to find a physical copy of Nier: Automata in the last couple of weeks around Melbourne, and have been routinely kicking myself for not picking it as soon as it was released (although I’ve finally been able to nab a copy online from overseas).

Nier: Automata is now available (if you can find it) on PS4 and PC.
