Nidhogg II announced

Developer Messhof has announced via the game’s official website that a sequel to indie hit Nidhogg will be coming to PC ‘and maybe some other platforms’ in 2017.

Nidhogg II promises more detailed graphics than the original, going for a 16-bit aesthetic rather than the early 8-bit look of the original. It will also offer a wider variety of weaponry and many more combat arenas for players to duel in. There will also be a single-player mode, pitting players against AI-controlled opponents.

Nidhogg II will be playable at TwitchCon in San Diego this weekend, and will appear on the event’s livestream. It also has its own Steam store page and a short trailer, which you can check out below.
