New Pokemon GO Event Has Players Chasing Fossils

Award-winning mobile app developer Niantic has announced a new event for Pokemon GO called Adventure Week, which will take place from May 18 to May 25, 2017.

During Adventure Week, rock-based Pokemon will be far more common than usual, meaning you’ll be able to nab yourself some Onix, SudoWoodo, Kabuto, Aerodactyl and Omanyte Pokemon far easier than usual.

The Adventure Week event will also come with some temporary bonuses all around the game, including an increase in the amount of items you receive from Pokestops, buddy Pokemon finding candy closer than normal, and a new item of clothing the Adventurer’s Hat which is a guaranteed item if you play Pokemon GO throughout the Adventure Week event period.

Pokemon GO has been an incredibly successful mobile game, and continues to provide players with reasons to keep playing. One can’t help but believe that the success of Pokemon GO is what has led Nintendo to want to venture further in to the mobile gaming market, with the recently released Super Mario Run, and now a planned Legend of Zelda game, with other titles in the works.

Pokemon GO launched on July 6, 2016 and is available on Android and iOS devices.
