New Features Coming To NBA 2K21 MyTeam

August 22, 2020

This year has been a hell of a thing, and few of the constant touchpoints that we’re used to have shown up. We’ve seen delay after delay of games, we’re almost at the end of August on a console launch year and still have next to no details, but there is still one constant that will be coming this year: NBA 2K21. Officially announced and first shown during the June PS5 Games Showcase, we’re now a couple of weeks away from the current generation release of the game, with more details dropping every week. The latest details to come out are some additions coming to NBA 2K21 MyTeam with a brand new trailer.

Some the new features coming to NBA 2K21 MyTeam are sure to please fans, including confirmation that progress will carry over from current generation consoles to next generation consoles in the same family. So, if you buy NBA 2K21 on PS4 and then later buy it on PS5 (or buy the Mamba Forever edition that comes with a free upgrade) your MyTeam progress will carry over. The game will also introduce Seasons, with new free content released all year long, while Badge Customisation and branching Badge evolutions. There will be newly revamped Limited and Unlimited modes, with new championship rings available each Friday-Sunday in Limited, while Unlimited will consist of 9 Leagues to conquer.

NBA 2K21 releases on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 4th, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions coming later this year. For more information, check out the official website.
