Long known for their gaming chops, Alienware have powered many gamer’s favourite laptops and desktops as they powered through their resource hungry games.

Following on from their rich heritage, Alienware have announced that they will now be bringing 8th generation Intel core i5, i7 and i9 processors to their Alienware 15 and 17 laptops. They’re also introducing Alienware Cryo-Tech v2.0 with 50% thinner fan blades and a vapor chamber to let you get the most out of overclocking your new laptop while maintaining a lap-friendly temperature.

Alienware’s parent company Dell aren’t being left by the wayside either, announcing the new gaming-focused Dell G Series laptops. Four models have been announced so far – the Dell G3 15 and 17, and the Dell G5 and G7 15.

The Dell G3 15 and 17 come in 15″ and 17″ models respectively, and are powered by Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 up to 1060 Max-Q GPUs and up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7 CPUs. They’re also stocked with dual fans and options for dual drives with SSD options. They measure in at 22.7mm and 25mm thick for the 15 and 17 respectively, with the 15 being the thinnest Dell gaming laptop to date.

The G5 and G7 15 both come in a 25mm thin 15″ chassis, with NVidia GTX 1060 Max-Q GPUs and up to 6-core 8th Gen Intel Core processors (up to an i7 on the GT and i9 on the G7) and the same dual fans and dual drive options as the G3. The G5 and G7 will both have the option of an UHD panel and have a front intake and rear exhaust fan to push hot away from you as you play.

Release dates and prices aren’t currently announced for Australia, but we have no doubt we’ll see all of these models in the not too distant future.
