E3 2017: Minecraft going crossplay, super duper graphics announced

At Microsoft’s E3 conference it was announced that Minecraft will be receiving an update later this year to introduce crossplay between PC, VR and console players.

While specific platforms were not announced, a blocky Nintendo Switch console was shown during the trailer suggesting Nintendo had signed on. The Xbox One and PC versions are also expected.

Also announced was the release of a new “super duper” graphics pack due later this year. This will greatly enhance the game’s graphics. It’s unknown if the graphics pack will be free or have a cost.
