Middle-earth: Shadow of War delayed to October

June 2, 2017

In an official statement on the Monolith Productions website, the developer has announced that Middle-earth: Shadow of War has been delayed to launch worldwide on October 10 (or October 11 for Australia).

The developer has cited the team wanted more time to ensure that “Middle-earth: Shadow of War will deliver on [what they promised]”.

Originally slated for an August release, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is a sequel to 2014’s Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. The game’s story picks up right where the first entry left off, with Talion forging a new ring of power and setting out to defeat the Dark Lord Sauron. The Nemesis system makes a return, but has been built upon and now allows Talion to gain followers from various races including the Uruk-Hai and Olog-hai.
