Mass Effect 3: Resurgence DLC Announced

April 7, 2012

If it weren’t obvious already, extended single player ending content isn’t the only downloadable goody BioWare has in store for Mass Effect 3 fans. Today sees the announcement of the ‘Resurgence Pack’, a bundle of extra goodies for those of us who like to take our space opera from the solitary confines of single player to the horde drenched battlegrounds of online.

The Mass Effect 3 Resurgence Pack will expand the multiplayer component of the game with a number of new features:

  • Six characters, including two new playable species: Geth Infiltrator, Geth Engineer, Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Asari Justicar Adept, and Krogan Battlemaster Vanguard.
  • Two maps: Firebase Hydra, and Firebase Condor.
  • Three weapons: Striker assault rifle, Geth plasma SMG, and the Kishock harpoon gun.

The Resurgence Pack will be available for download on Xbox 360 and PC on April 10. BioWare has noted that PlayStation 3 owners in the US will have access on the same date, meanwhile European owners will need to wait until April 11. What this means for Australians, we do not know.

Oh, and best of all, the Resurgence Pack will be completely free. Check out a trailer showing off the new content below.
