Gamescom 2019: Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 2D Events Revealed

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 2D Events have been revealed today in the official Gamescom 2019 trailer from Sega. The game, which will launch in November this year ahead of next year’s Tokyo Olympic Games, features Mario & Sonic as well as plenty of other familiar Nintendo and Sega characters in classic 2D events as well as modern 3D graphics, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch console.

Rocket Chainsaw has been following Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 since it was revealed at the E3 2019 Nintendo Direct.

So far ten Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 2D Events have been announced including 100 meter sprint, 10 meter platform diving, 400 meter hurdles, gymnastics – vault, judo, kayak single (K-1) 1000 meters, long jump, marathon, shooting – trap and volleyball.

With dozens of events available in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, there’s definitely something for everyone with newer sports such as surfing, and fun multiplayer events like badminton, boxing and fencing.
