Limited Edition Mario Nintendo Switch Releasing In February

Nintendo are no strangers to limited edition consoles, with an utter cornucopia of specially designed and decorated consoles released over the last decade. Many of their recent limited edition consoles have been for the Nintendo Switch Lite, but it’s big brother is getting a new limited edition look with the Mario Red & Blue Nintendo Switch.

Releasing on February 12, the same day as Super Mario 3D World + Bowsers Fury, the Mario Red & Blue Nintendo Switch comes with the most custom coloured components of a limited edition Switch yet. While most limited edition Switch consoles have had a custom dock or joy-con, the Mario Red & Blue Nintendo Switch is completely recoloured. It’s body, joy-con and dock are all red, while it’s joy-con straps and holder are both blue. Both colours have been specifically picked to match Mario’s own clothes.

If you’re interested in grabbing one of these special Nintendo Switch consoles, we’d suggest keeping your eyes open for preorders, as we expect units to sell out relatively quickly. It’s been confirmed officially that the special edition console will retail at the same $469.95 RRP as the regular Nintendo Switch, while there also aren’t any pack in games with the console. In the meantime, check out the photos below of the console.
