March 19, 2021

With Life is Strange creators Dontnod seemingly busy with a myriad of recent game releases like Tell Me Why and upcoming titles, it was rumoured that the franchise would be shifting to another developer. Today, it’s been confirmed that the rumours were true, with Life is Strange: Before the Storm developers Deck Nine Games working on another game in the series titles Life is Strange: True Colors.

Life is Strange: True Colors takes place in the small town of Haven Spring, following Alex Chen as she comes to terms with her long suppressed ‘curse’ to investigate the death of her brother. Alex has the power of Empathy, able to feel other’s emotions to the point where intense emotions can cause her to lose control. There was only a short trailer to reveal the game, but it was enough to show that the game is shaping up to be another interesting narrative adventure.

The other shift with the game is that there won’t be any episodic releases this time around. Instead, the game will release in full on release day, allowing you to complete Alex’s full journey from the getgo.

Life is Strange: True Colors releases on September 10 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. For more information, check the official website.
