The Playstation Experience Showcase has finished with the massive reveal of The Last of Us 2 from Naughty Dog. The trailer showed both Ellie and Joel,, seemingly a few years older than when we left them at the end of The Last of Us.

The trailer pans through a house filled with freshly killed people, as Ellie plays guitar, ending with Joel arriving and asking Ellie if she’s really going to through with ‘it’. It seems that the game will once again focus on Ellie and Joel’s relationship, but it looks as though Ellie may be a more capable fighter and killer this time and she’s on a quest for vengeance.

Shawn Layden advised that the game is still very early in development and runs on an updated engine from Naughty Dog. It may be a ways away yet, but already The Last of Us Part 2 is looking like an engaging experience.
