Immortals: Fenyx Rising (Formerly Gods & Monster) Details Leak

September 4, 2020

Another day, another Ubisoft leak. Seriously, Ubisoft can’t seem to go into a press conference or showcase without having all of their surprises leak out, and next week’s Ubisoft Forward is no different. After having Far Cry 6’s existence, gameplay and the release date of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and more leak ahead of their last showcase, now they’ve had details leak regarding Immortals: Fenyx Rising, the game formerly known as Gods & Monsters.

Thanks to a handy listing that popped up on the Xbox Store, we now have confirmation of the game’s new name, along with a slew of other information. For one, we know that it will support Xbox Smart Delivery, which isn’t really a surprise at this point. We also got confirmation that the game is slated to release on December 2, which is earlier than we had expected. We’ve also got a whole bunch of screenshots, which show off the slightly changed art style. The game still looks wonderfully colourful, but there’s more realism to its style than there was before, shifting away somewhat from the really stylised almost Breath of the Wild look it had before.

No doubt Ubisoft will be rueing the fact that a platform hold has once again leaked their announcement before they had a chance to, but you can tune in next week to the September Ubisoft Forward to see Immortals: Fenyx Rising in action along with a few other games as well.
