HyperX launches Cloud II Wireless Headset and SoloCast Microphone

March 3, 2021

HyperX have added to their line-up of gaming and streaming accessories in Australia and New Zealand, with the launch of a new headset and USB microphone.

First up, the Cloud II Wireless Headset is designed as a successor of the original, wired, Cloud II, originally introduced in 2015. The headset features 7.1 virtual surround sound and 53mm drivers, an aluminium frame, adjustable headband, with leatherette and memory foam materials. The battery is listed at lasting up to 30 hours with 20 meters of wireless range, with a detachable noise-cancelling microphone. It’s compatible with PC, PS4 and Switch.

As for the SoloCast USB microphone, the mic is aimed as an entrypoint for streamers and content creators, lacking the colourful lighting of HyperX’s Quadcast S microphone, but offering ‘Plug n Play’ recording capability and a tap-to-mute feature with an LED. The mic uses a cardioid pattern with a rotatable stand, while its mount adapter fits both 3/8″ and 5/8″ thread sizes. It’s compatible with PC, PS4 and Switch.

The Cloud II Wireless is available for AUD$299/NZD$322, and the SoloCast is available for AUD$109/NZD$125 from selected retailers.
