Halo Infinite Campaign Looks Fast, Fluid And Big

Opening the Xbox Games Showcase, we got our first big, lengthy look at Halo Infinite. Previously announced to be on a newly updated engine and with a bigger scope than past games in the series, the brand new campaign gameplay demo definitely backed that up, with the game looking better and more open than any past game in the series.

The Halo Infinite campaign demo began with Master Chief driving through the landscape in a Warthog, showing off the size and scope of the environments, which certainly looked massive. The environments all looked great, along with plenty of detail shown on enemy and character models. The grappling hook was on show, as Master Chief grappled onto enemies in the midst of combat. We also saw some great looks at new animation qualities in the game, including enemies reacting to targeted limb damage appropriately.

What we didn’t see, were too many details on what the Halo Infinite campaign will entail, with the demo mostly contained to combat footage. There were a couple of glimpses of some story, but nothing too detailed or indepth.

Halo Infinite releases in Holiday 2020 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X. Check out the Halo Infinite campaign trailer below for your own glimpse at the future of the franchise. For more information, check out the game’s official website.
