Halfbrick launches second AR title – Siege Breakers

After their earlier launch of Shadows RemainHalfbrick have once again entered the cutting-edge world of Augmented Reality, today releasing globally their newest title, Siege Breakers on iOS.

As a kind of AR take on Angry Birds and ScreamrideSiege Breakers has a simple concept, seeing the player use their mobile device as a catapult to launch barrels and rockets and stone castles, targeting weak points for more explosive damage. Taking the concept into AR means that players physically have to move around their environment to find the best angle, with the castle overlaid onto their device’s camera feed thanks to iOS 11 technology.

The game also includes a construction mode, allowing players to build their own castles using materials collected from ‘rare crates’.

Siege Breakers originated from a recent game jam, with Halfbrick CEO Shainiel Deo saying, “The best ideas always find their way to the surface, and Siege Breakers blew us away when it was first presented to the entire company.”

Siege Brakers is now available as a free download on the App Store.
