Race For Glory in the First GRID Gameplay Trailer

July 12, 2019

Codemasters has today released a first look at some GRID gameplay with a 1 minute trailer showcasing some of the vehicles and tracks we can expect when the game launches in October.

GRID was originally revealed in May with a September release date, however Codemasters decided to push the release back a month to allow for more exposure. Here is the first look at some actual GRID gameplay exposure, and it’s got us excited.

Fans of the original GRID will immediately recognise popular tracks in the GRID gameplay trailer such as the iconic Brands Hatch Circuit, Sepang, San Francisco, Shanghai and Havana, though this time Codemasters says the game will play #LikeNoOther.

This isn’t just about the game. GRID gives you the chance to show why you’re as unique as what you’re playing.

In multiplayer modes, show your true colours and own your racing style. Customise your car’s look with unique liveries, earn and show off accolades for different in-game achievements, and level up (and even Prestige) to prove your worth against the GRID community. It’s time to show why you’re a race driver like no other.

We all love motor racing for specific reasons, like the big moments, the dramatic mistakes, the clashing personalities. GRID takes those elements of motor racing that make it so special, and gives players the platform to create unpredictable, unforgettable stories with them.

The track is yours – and the time is now.

Players who pre-order GRID will also unlock the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 as a bonus car.

The Race For Glory trailer highlights GRID’s focus on intense racing action, no matter the car, class or circuit you’re using. Fight for your position. Go wheel-to-wheel with your rivals. Compete and enjoy every single race in GRID.

Use the hashtag #LikeNoOther to join the GRID discussion on social media, and make sure to stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw as we bring you all the latest on GRID. Hopefully we’ll see some drift gameplay soon, as well as some actual lengthy gameplay footage and not just a flashy trailer.

GRID launches on October 11th 2019 on Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and Codemasters has confirmed the game will launch on Google Stadia at a later date. For more info, head to the official GRID website.
