God of War Releasing On April 20

After months of silence regarding the release date for God of War we had begun to suspect that it had maybe slipped from its ‘early 2018’ release window that had been announced in 2017 by PlayStation. The latest post on the PlayStation Blog has confirmed we were incorrect and the game will be releasing exclusively for PlayStation 4 on April 20 with a bevy of different versions to buy. For those who prefer physical copies there is the Collector’s Edition and Limited Edition, as well as the standard regular edition, and a Digital Edition for those who want the game digitally.

With a newfound focus on storytelling and exploration, as well as a brand new combat system and what look to be some absolutely stunning graphics, 2018’s God of War promises to be a fresh take on the series and a change of pace compared to its predecessors. If you’ve not played any previous games in the series, but were always interested in having a look, this might be the perfect jumping in point for you.

God of War releases exclusively for PlayStation 4 on April 20, so check out the new story trailer below while you wait.
