Ghost of Tsushima Multiplayer Mode Announced

August 18, 2020

We loved our time with Ghost of Tsushima, with the amazing environments, engaging combat and surprisingly touching story pulling us in and not letting go (to the point where David made it the first ever game he got a Platinum trophy for). A month on, we still find ourselves wanting to jump back into the island of Tsushima to explore and play. Now Sucker Punch and PlayStation have given us the perfect excuse to, with the announcement of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends a brand new multiplayer mode coming to the game.

A completely new experience Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a brand new experience within the game, not following Jin or his companions at all. Instead Ghost of Tsushima’s new multiplayer content will follow four warriors who have separately built up their own legends on Tsushima. Legends focuses in on locations and enemies inspired by Japanese myths and folklore, along with co-operative gameplay, meaning the experience will be quite different to the main game.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends allows for 2 to 4 player co-operative multiplayer, with the number of player dictating what you can take part in. Two player groups will have access to a series of Story co-op missions, while four player groups will have access to wave-based Survival missions. Each player in these groups will be able to choose from four unique character classes: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will release as a free update to the main game in the Spring of this year.
