Get Ready For Horizon Forbidden West Gameplay On Friday

May 26, 2021

There’s no doubting that Horizon Zero Dawn was one hell of a departure from Guerilla’s previous games. Moving on from the FPS roots of Killzone to a new futuristic RPG setting was a big change and one that we welcomed, as we generally loved Zero Dawn. Last year Sony announced that the game would be getting a sequel in the form of Horizon Forbidden West and now it’s been confirmed that we’ll be seeing some extended gameplay very soon.

The gameplay footage will come as part of a new State of Play that was announced overnight and is dropping on Friday. Announced via the PlayStation Blog, it was confirmed that State of Play will feature a 20 minute segment on Horizon Forbidden West. Specifically confirmed for this segment is roughly 14 minutes of gameplay, which will give us a good, extended look at the game. While it wasn’t explicitly stated, we would also expect the State of Play to likely come with an update on a release window for the game (if not an exact release date) and details on a special or collector’s edition of the game.

So if you’re keen to get another look at Horizon Forbidden West turn in at 7AM AEST to PlayStation’s official YouTube channel.
