Originally revealed back in May’s episode of Inside Xbox, Scarlet Nexus was one of the first next-generation games we got to see. The new action game from the developers of the God Eater series brings stylish anime-inspired action to a new world filled with psychic powers and energies. Now, Bandai Namco have debuted a brand new Scarlet Nexus trailer at Gamescom 2020 overnight.

The new Scarlet Nexus trailer gives us a look at the Others Suppression Force (OSF), a specialist group of combatants assembled to take on the threat of the Others, mysterious creatures that descend from the sky to eat human brains. We’re introduced to Hanabi, a cheerful and energetic friend of protagonist Yuito Sumeragi. Reunited as members of the OSF, they’re back together to take on the Others. Hanabi has developed powerful pyrokinetic abilities, allowing her to use fire to burn away any monsters that stand in her way. Yuito is able to borrow this ability in the game using the SAS system, allowing you to also use those burning hot flames in gameplay.

Scarlet Nexus will release in 2021 for PC (Digitally), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. For more information, check out the official website.
