At this year’s Gamescom developer Frontier Developers released a new trailer for the upcoming Planet Zoo, as well as a walk-through of the game’s first scenario in Career Mode.

Planet Zoo is a spiritual successor to 2013’s Zoo Tycoon and also builds upon the gameplay found in Planet Coaster. Players will be able to build their own zoo, ensuring its animal residents are comfortable in their habitats and their special needs are being met. The animals behave similar to their real-life counterparts, such as wolves having a pack mentality and other animals preferring a solitary life.

Pre-orders are now available via Steam, with those who pre-order gaining access to a pre-launch beta which will be held 24th September – 8th October. There will also be a Deluxe Edition available, which includes three unique animals (Komodo Dragon, Pygmy Hippopotamus and Thomson’s Gazelle) for your zoo,  high-quality wallpapers and an original soundtrack by JJ Ipsen.
