Gamescom 2019: Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition coming 14th November

At this year’s Gamescom, Microsoft has announced that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be releasing on 14th November on both Steam and the PC Microsoft Store.

Additionally, the game will be included as part of the Xbox Games Pass for PC line-up and will feature cross-network play between the Steam and Microsoft Store versions. A beta is planned for Age Insider members, which is free to join here.

To tide you over until November, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition has also just been released on Steam and features the same cross-network play its sequel is getting. If you already own the game on the Microsoft Store, you will be able to transfer campaign progress and achievements.
