Gamescom 2019: A hero always arrives late in the latest One Punch Man trailer

August 21, 2019

Bandai Namco wants you to know that a hero always arrives late… At least, that’s the idea behind the Hero Arrival System in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows.

In the game’s newly revealed Free Battle mode, the only way you can select Saitama is by choosing two other characters. This will form a three-man team, but Saitama will not be available immediately at the beginning of the fight. Instead players must hold off their opponents while waiting for the Capped Baldy’s arrival, signified with an on-screen timer. Achieving perfect guards and combos will remove time from the counter. If you manage to survive despite the disadvantage, Saitama will arrive and be able to appropriately finish off your opponents with… One puuuuuunch!

Last but not least, Terrible Tornado, Silverfang and Atomic Samurai have also been confirmed to be part of the playable roster.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is expected to be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2020. You can check out the Gamescom trailer below, featuring the Hero Arrival System.
