Get a free Elder Scrolls Online pet and crates with QuakeCon 2018

August 8, 2018

Zenimax Online Studios has today revealed that those that watch this year’s QuakeCon Keynote Address on Twitch will score a free Elder Scrolls Online pet and five Ouroboros Crown Crates that could give you a bunch of amazing in-game items.

The Flame Atronach Wolf will be yet another free Elder Scrolls Online pet or mount that Zenimax has given away for watching a Twitch stream this year, with the developers gifting an ice wolf mount to those that watched the E3 2018 Bethesda Press Conference on Twitch with a linked ESO account.

The first step Windows PC and Mac players should do is to make sure their Elder Scrolls Online account is linked to their Twitch account. Once linking your account successfully, make sure to book in this Saturday, 13th August at a bright and early 3AM AEST on your calendar. If you’re watching the Twitch stream of the QuakeCon keynote address with an ESO linked account, you will be gifted the in-game items at some stage in the next 7 days.

If you’re an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 Elder Scrolls Online player, then don’t worry you haven’t been left in the dark this time. If you log in to the game in the first hour after the Twitch stream concludes and kill one monster, you will also be gifted the free Elder Scrolls Online pet and five Ouroboros crates.

An Elder Srolls Online free play event will also occur this weekend throughout the duration of QuakeCon 2018, starting at 1AM Friday 10th August until 1AM on the following Thursday. Players will be able to experience the base game in its entirety, as well as travelling to the South-Eastern island of Vvardenfell to try out the Morrowind expansion.

Players will also find a sale taking place on the Crown Store, with items such as Crown Packs and the Summerset expansion discounted. The sale will end for all items on the 14th of August except for The Elder Scrolls Online Standard Edition which will remain on sale for a further week for those that want to purchase the game at the end of the free to play period.

Don’t forget, we’re just days away from the launch of the Elder Scrolls Online Wolfhunter DLC, the first DLC pack since the second expansion Summerset launched earlier this year.

Rocket Chainsaw reviewed The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset when it launched on June 5, 2018, giving it 4 stars and explaining it “has some of the most gorgeous vistas you’ll find in a video game. The amazing architecture of the cities on Summerset Isle (my favourite is Lillandril), mixed with sweeping ocean views, rocky waterfalls, or lush green areas makes the Summerset Isles the absolute prettiest part of Tamriel.

The Elder Scrolls Online is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Mac and Windows PC. For more information, head to the official website here.
