Codemasters has today revealed the first F1 2018 gameplay footage. F1 2018 was announced two weeks ago and is already looking like an upgrade to last year’s F1 2017.

Rocket Chainsaw reviewed F1 2017 when it launched in August last year, giving it 4.5 stars, calling it “hands down the best F1 game of all time.” It will be interesting to see how they improve on it this year.

In the trailer, F1 race car driver Charles Leclerc takes you on a hot lap of the F1 Monaco circuit, demonstrating every corner and nearly every bump on the road. Leclerc even gives his thoughts on the early build of F1 2018 at the end of the video. In a post-video interview, Leclerc said: “I love playing the F1 game! As soon as I get out of the car, I miss racing. So, when I am back home, I play for fun. This is the closest I can get to driving a Formula 1 car outside of the track, so it is always very enjoyable to play.”
