Fire Emblem: Three Houses day one patch released, super-hard mode coming

July 26, 2019

Fire Emblem: Three Houses was launched today and, as is common for major game releases, a day one patch has been issued.

The 1.01 patch, as translated by Perfectly Nintendo, includes unspecified fixes and improvements to the gameplay experience, and adds an “Additional Contents” link at the title screen which directs you to the Nintendo eShop so that you can purchase the Expansion Pass or individual DLC packs as they become available. For players who own the Expansion Pass, the patch also adds the Officers Academy Uniform for Byleth. The costumes are only reflected when exploring the Monastery and during battles. Here are some screenshots of the costumes for both male and female genders.

There is quite a bit of future DLC planned for Fire Emblem: Three HousesĀ between now and April 2020, including new costumes, quests, items, auxiliary battles and story content. The Expansion Pass is available now on the Australian eShop for AU$37.50.

Nintendo Europe has also revealed via their official Twitter account that an update later this year will add a Super Hard mode to the game. At the moment you can only select Normal and Hard modes when starting a new adventure.
