May 19, 2021

Australian Final Fantasy XIV fans, and Aussie newcomers, can rejoice after Square Enix announced at last weekend’s Digital Fan Fest, that an Oceanic Data Centre is being implemented, likely due to the strong fanbase the game has in the region.

The news came among a bevy of information about the latest expansion, Endwalker, including a new trailer:

Endwalker brings with it a new job, the scythe-wielding ‘Reaper’ which can summon avatars while fighting in close-quarters, a new playable race with Male Viera, a new city called Old Sharalayan, new areas including ‘Labyrinthos’, ‘Mare Lamentorum’, ‘Thavanir’ and ‘Radz-at-Han’. You can see video breakdowns of all of these and more at the official Final Fantasy XIV YouTube channel.

Endwalker and its Digital Collectors Edition are now up for pre-order on the official Square-Enix store.
