Far Cry 5 Zombies + More Post Launch Content

Far Cry 5 Zombies Mode is real and it’s coming in the season pass along with two other huge expansions. Ubisoft has revealed via two trailers what will be involved in Far Cry 5‘s post launch content and it looks like we’ll be playing this game for a long, long time.

First up, Far Cry 5 Hours of Darkness will throw you in to Vietnam where you’ll be on a hostage rescue mission from hell. It’s up to you to save your friends and, of course, get to the chopper! Could The Predator be lurking? He did feature in a free DLC event in Ghost Recon Wildlands which is also made by Ubisoft, so who knows?

Secondly you’ll be sent into space. An alien invasion is occuring on Mars and only you can save the solar system from total annihilation. Become a trooper on a starship when this second DLC pack hits.

Finally, zombies. Yes, Far Cry 5 Zombies! It’s what we wanted in the cult-infested Hope County, Montana ever since the game was [originally revealed in May 2017](, and now it’s happening. It looks like they’re sticking to the Left 4 Dead formula of round-by-round zombie slaughter for now which is unfortunate, as an open-world zombie game set in the Far Cry world would be simply stunning.

Ubisoft has also revealed that those that purchase the Far Cry 5 Season Pass will get Far Cry 3 Classic Edition for free.

We can also reveal that Far Cry 5 will include a new mode called Far Cry Arcade which works similar to Halo Forge. In this mode, content from the Far Cry series as well as Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs will be available to use in a map editor mode. As the trailer below explains, the developers have included over 9,000 items for map creators to use, and they seem very excited to see what the community comes up with.

Points earned in Far Cry Arcade can then be used to purchase gear and upgrades in Far Cry 5.
