It’s been pretty quiet on the Command & Conquer front since the cancellation of the Victory Games’ version back in 2013. That changed today, as EA announced Command and Conquer: Rivals for mobile platforms.

The game has been built around mobile platforms and touchscreens, resulting in a markedly different game that bears similarities to other titles like Clash of Clans, focusing on 1v1 matches.

You can check out the reveal trailer and an example of the gameplay below. At the EA Play showcase, known esports personalities NickatNyte and InControl played a test match to demonstrate the gameplay.

Starting today, Android players can pre-register on Google Play to be notified when the game will be available worldwide, as well as also gaining the chance to be invited to the pre-alpha.
