E3 2018: Narrative Adventure Twin Mirror In Development by DONTNOD

June 9, 2018

Fresh off the release of Vampyr, which Adam said was full of great ideas in his review, DONTNOD Entertainment’s next game has been revealed – Twin Mirror. Published by Bandai Namco, Twin Mirrors is their first foray into publishing narrative adventure games – think DONTNOD’s previous game Life is Strange – with a seemingly large dollop of inspiration from sources like Twin Peaks and Alan Wake.

You’ll take control of Sam, an investigative journalist who has returned to his home town after a particularly nasty breakup. He wakes up one morning in his hotel room to find his shirt covered in blood and his memory of the night before blank. You’ll need to dive into Sam’s most painful memories, with the ability to personally and uniquely shape the investigation through impactful choices – and after Life is Strange and Vampyr, I think we can definitely expect our choices to have a large impact on the story and world of Twin Mirror.

Twin Mirror will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019. In the meantime, check out the announcement trailer below and stay tuned for more announcements as E3 2018 continues.
