E3 2018: Devil May Cry 5 finally confirmed, new trailer

After being in fans’ hopes and dreams for a decade, Devil May Cry 5 has finally been officially announced at Xbox’s E3 Press Briefing, with a new trailer and a brief announcement by Hideaki Itsuno.

The trailer appears to show Nero, the protagonist of DMC4, engaging in the series’ trademark ‘stylish action’ with a robot arm capable of grappling enemies, along with the traditional swords and gunplay, with more more highly detailed visuals than we’ve seen before from the series, with models scanned from fully costumed real-life counterparts. Onstage at the presentation, Itsuno said that he believes this is the greatest game he has worked on, because it has been “made for the fans.”
