E3 2017: Metro Exodus Revealed

June 12, 2017

4A Games have revealed just what they’ve been working on for the last few years, revealing Metro Exodus for the first time during the Xbox E3 2017 press conference.

Inspired by Metro novels Metro 2033 and Metro 2035, Metro Exodus seems to tell the story of a number of survivors attempting to escape the hellish lands we have grown accustomed to in previous Metro games. The trailer that was shown was all in-engine footage running at 4K, leading us to believe that the game may yet be some way off with just a vague ‘2018’ release confirmed so far.

If the final release is able to match the visuals on show in the trailer below, we can expect this is easily be the best looking Metro title to date and one of the most visually impressive games released to date. There is no doubt in our minds that developer 4A Games is trying to push the Xbox One X to its limits.

Check out the trailer below and stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw for any new information as it becomes available.
