Square Enix previously stated that Kingdom Hearts 3 wouldn’t be shown at E3, and were technically correct as they showed a brand new trailer for the game at the Kingdom Hearts concert happening in LA.

The new trailer showcases a couple of minutes of gameplay footage as Sora, Goofy and Donald fight their way through their way through waves of Heartless in Hercules’ world of Olympus. The trailer is in Japanese without subtitles, so we’re unable to tell what is being said, but the game is looking sharp and full featured, seemingly confirming that the game’s troubled development past may finally be behind it. The trailer also shows both Ansem and Xemnas, past villains of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, conversing with Sora and Co, however we don’t know their involvement in the story.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with another trailer to be shown at D23 in July.
