E3 2017: Age of Empires Definitive Edition Revealed in Stunning 4K at PC Game Show

June 13, 2017

It has now been 20 years since we first experienced the real-time strategy that cemented itself in its genre and basically became a household name, Age of Empires. The game was once available on disc with every purchase of Nutri Grain cereal, that’s how easily accessible it was to play back in the late 90’s. Now Microsoft Game Studios is bringing back the original game in stunning 4K resolution with the Age of Empires Definitive Edition.

The new version will feature different zoom levels, better AI tracking, better combat, Xbox Live online multiplayer support, and they have promised that every single asset in the game has been visually improved. The definitive edition will feature a definitive soundtrack, definitive achievements, a new narrative, and the much loved Rise of Rome expansion all in one nice little package. Best of all, you are able to sign up for the beta at ageofempires.com.
