E3 2016: Ubisoft Announces Sequel to Grow Home

June 14, 2016

Ubisoft announced today that their follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed Grow Home, the winner of the first PlayStation Plus Vote to Play program, will release in August for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Titled Grow Up, players will once again take control of BUD, the lovable and hard to control robot protagonist, as he embarks upon a new adventure after his parental spaceship MOM is damaged during an unfortunate lunar accident. BUD must explore a lush alien planet in order to collect MOM’s scattered pieces and rebuild her with the assistance of new character POD, a flying robot sidekick.

With a veritable raft of timed challenges, abilities and collectibles to gather, players will be able to either focus upon their mission or flitter about the planet interacting with its unique flora and fauna using BUD’s new Floradex.

“We wanted to give fans of Grow Home the chance to explore a world where there is no edge, no invisible wall to hit,” said Pete Young, Producer at Reflections, a Ubisoft studio. “We can’t wait for them to join BUD in Grow Up on a fantastical new adventure to the moon.”
