During their E3 press conference today, Ubisoft have confirmed the release date for South Park: The Fractured But Whole and shown further gameplay details.
The big thing to come from this new trailer is the brand new battle system that will be utilised in The Fractured But Whole. Gone is the purely turn-based Paper Mario–esque battle system from South Park: The Stick of Truth in favour of a new tactical grid based system. Using the grid you will be able to position yourself better, deal higher damage from behind and utilise cover pieces in the grid.
You will also have the opportunity to use a robust character creator at the beginning of The Fractured But Whole, which allows you to heavily customise the abilities your super-hero based character will have.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in the following editions on December 6th. Preorders will also receive a free copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or PC.
