Activision Blizzard has finally announced an official release date for the highly anticipated RPG Diablo 3. Fans no longer have a vague launch window to contend with, as May 15 has been named the lucky day when fans across the globe – including Australia – can finally get their hands on the game.

However, the game’s PVP Arena mode will not be included in the original release, as it doesn’t live up to Blizzard’s high standards just yet. The mode will be made available in a patch at a later unspecified time.

In addition to buying either the standard or Collectors Edition’s at retail, the game may be purchased at Battle.net.
