Sony Interactive Entertainment has today revealed a limited edition Destiny 2 DualShock 4 controller, set to launch alongside Bungie’s upcoming sequel in September. With just a little over a month to go before Destiny 2 arrives, the marketing machine is in top gear and we’re expecting many more reveals over the month of August.
The white Destiny 2 DualShock 4 controller has the logo splashed all over it, as well as the three guardian class symbols down one side. Check out the angle your TV will see below:
It appears Bungie is marketing Destiny 2 as hard as they can, with a white PlayStation 4 Pro Destiny 2 bundle including the gold version of the game, as well as Razer producing Windows PC peripherals including a Destiny 2 mouse, keyboard and headphones.
Interestingly we’ve seen nothing of the sort for Microsoft’s Xbox One console, still possibly maintaining a distant relationship with Bungie after they broke away from the exclusive Halo franchise.
Destiny 2 is scheduled to launch on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while the Windows PC version will get a separate launch on October 24. Various levels of beta testing are currently taking place for fans that have pre-ordered the game.
In further news, Bungie has announced the Windows PC beta test will take place on August 29-31, with pre-ordering customers able to begin a day early. You can find out more information on Destiny 2 early access at the official page here.
